Hushping is a Chrome extension that stops websites from asking to send you notifications and helps you turn off notifications you allowed in the past. It works entirely inside your browser.
Nothing. Hushping does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information, browsing history, page content or usage data. It has no analytics, no tracking, no accounts and no servers.
Hushping keeps your on/off preference and the list of sites you allow to ask for notifications in Chrome's built-in storage (chrome.storage.sync), so they follow your Chrome profile if you use Chrome Sync. It also keeps, only on this device (chrome.storage.local), a list of sites you have visited that currently have notifications switched on, and the sites you turned off with Hushping, so you can review and undo them. None of this is ever sent to us or anyone else.
Hushping runs on the pages you visit only to answer those pages' notification requests with "denied". It uses Chrome's content settings only when you choose to turn a site's notifications off or back on. It does not read or record what you do on websites.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
